A New Album by Jeffery Goodson
Friends and fans of Space Croutons may be interested to know that one of its co-creators has also been writing and recording his own brand of folk rock songs for a while now. Several of his earlier compositions were featured in first season episodes of the show and he (along with Della, Jerry and John have been behind the words and music for each new season’s theme song.
And now we’d like to announce Jeff’s new album of original music: Between Scars & Stars! His new songs include a couple of numbers inspired by episodes of Space Croutons (13 Heartaches, Marigold, What’s Doin’?) along with 10 other trips into the moments between the scars we get and the stars we reach for as we live our lives. Playing and singing (with contributions from a couple of Space Crouton alums, Steve Garrigan and Patsy Puckett) from arrangements developed over the last few years, the new album sets itself up to touch your mind and heart. Words and music intertwined in just the right way bring these songs to life. Asked what is one of his favorites in the mix, Jeff points to “Sparrow” a ballad about who you go to when life’s struggles get to be too much.
